Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2025

At Lead Building Supply, we strive to provide quality products and excellent service. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which orders can be canceled, returned, or refunded. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms below.


1. Order Cancellation

  • Before Shipment:

    • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase by contacting our customer support team at orders@leadbuildingsupply.ca or calling +1-800-123-4567.

    • If your order has not been shipped, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

  • After Shipment:

    • Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled. You may still be eligible for a return (see Section 2 below).


2. Returns & Exchanges

  • Eligibility:

    • Products must be returned within 7–14 days (set according to your preference; e.g., 14 days) of delivery.

    • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.

    • Proof of purchase (order number or invoice) is required.

  • Non-Returnable Items:

    • Custom-made or special-order items.

    • Clearance or final-sale products.

    • Items that have been installed, damaged, or altered after delivery.

  • Exchange Option:

    • Eligible items may be exchanged for another product of equal or greater value (customer pays any price difference).


3. Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item(s).

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or defective item shipped).

  • If applicable, a restocking fee (e.g., 10–15%) may be deducted from the refund for returned items.


4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect:

    • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery at support@leadbuildingsupply.ca.

    • Provide photos of the issue along with your order number.

    • We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund at no additional cost to you.


5. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases of:

    • Defective or incorrect products shipped.

    • Orders canceled before shipping.


6. Special Circumstances

  • Large or oversized items may require special freight arrangements.

  • Additional charges may apply depending on the size and weight of the return.
